Shipping & Processing Times
Q: How long before my order ships?
A: Every candle is hand-poured to order in our Edison, NJ studio. Please allow 2–3 business days for processing. Once your package heads out, U.S. delivery typically takes 3–5 business days via USPS or UPS. You’ll get a tracking link the moment your shipping label prints.
Returns Policy
Q: What if my candle arrives damaged or I’m just not feeling the scent?
A: If your candle shows up broken or defective, send us a photo within 7 days of delivery and we’ll rush a replacement or refund—your choice. Unburned candles can be returned or exchanged within 14 days; just cover return shipping. (Custom or half-burned candles can’t be re-homed, so they’re final sale.)
Candle Care (The Spark Notes)
Q: How do I get the best burn every time?
- Trim the wick to ¼" before each light-up
- Let the first burn melt the wax edge-to-edge to prevent tunneling.
- Burn 3–4 hrs at a time, on a heat-safe surface, away from drafts & curious toddlers.
Q: How long will my candle burn?
A: Our 8 oz jars average 45–50 hours of clean burn time; 12 oz vessels clock 65–70 hours. Actual mileage may vary with wick-trimming habits and drafty rooms.
Q: Can I reuse or recycle the jar?
A: Absolutely! When ½" of wax remains, extinguish the flame and let the jar cool. Pop the jar in the freezer for an hour, nudge out the wax, wash with warm soapy water, and voilà—perfect for q-tips, succulents, cafecito shots…you name it. All glass and tin components are curbside-recyclable too.
Editing/Canceling Orders
Q: Can I edit or cancel my order after placing it?
A: Yes—if you catch us before we pour! Email treslucescandles@gmail.com within 2 hours of checkout with your order number and change request. After the wicks are set, edits and cancellations will have to wait for our returns process.
Where’s my tracking number?
The second we print your label you’ll receive a “Your candles are on the move!” email or SMS with a live tracking link. Can’t find it? Check spam, then shoot us your order number—we’ll resend faster than you can say “package en camino.”
Do you offer custom labels for events (weddings, baby showers, or corporate gifting)?
Sí (yes)! Custom pours start at 24 units and require 4 weeks’ lead time. We’ll help you pick a scent, design labels, and even match ribbon colors to your event palette. Bulk pricing + partnerships deck → email treslucescandles@gmail.com.
Do your scents contain nuts, gluten, or soy allergens?
We blend phthalate-free fragrance oils. While a few oils are inspired by nutty or gourmand notes, they do not contain peanut, tree-nut, or gluten proteins. Our wax is a coconut-soy blend—soy allergies are triggered by proteins found in food, not the refined soy wax we use—but if you’re ultra-sensitive, please patch-test first or drop us a line for an ingredient breakdown.
What wax blend do you use and why?
Tres Luces candles are poured with a proprietary coconut-soy wax blend:
- Cleaner burn – minimal soot, friendly for little lungs & fur babies.
- Stronger scent throw – coconut wax holds fragrance like gossip at a family BBQ.
- Longer burn time – lower melt point = more hours per jar.
